Be Still and Know

Scripture:God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Come and see the works of the LORD, the desolation he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear, he burns the shields [b] with fire. "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Words of Inspiration:Blessed are the single-hearted, for they shall enjoy much peace. If you refuse to be hurried and pressed, if you stay your soul on God, nothing can keep you from that clearness of spirit which is life and peace. In that stillness you will know what His will is.
-Amy Carmichael

Prayer: As Beth enters into the gift of a new week in a part of your world where the blood of the innocent is in the soil and psyches of those seek refuge from senseless murders, may she be still and know that You alone are God. May you cradle her in the palm of your hand.

Know

Scripture:I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world.
John 16: 33

Words of Inspiration:Give yourself fully to God. He will use you to accomplish great things on the condition that you believe much more in His love than in your own weakness.
Mother Teresa

Prayer: God, as I think of Beth this morning the words "peace" keeps coming to mind. I pray that you will surround her with your peace, may she have no doubt in her mind You are with her and in the lives of the people who greet her in Sudan this day. May she remember many times each day You have overcome evil with good. May her life bear witness to the work You have done and continue to do in the world.
Amen.

God Is

Scripture: Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, [a] you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.
Psalm 139:7-12

Words of Inspiration:His center is everywhere, His circumference is nowhere.
- Henery Law

Prayer: Loving and ever present God, as Beth steps onto the soil of Amsterdam, Sudan and Uganda, may see see and know You are with her every step of the way.
Amen.

peace

Scripture:LORD, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us.
Isaiah 26:12

Words of Inspiration:If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.
Mother Teresa

Prayer: Loving God, may the peace you have established in Christ Jesus be with Beth and her team members as they seek to be one in love, healing and hope with our brothers and sisters in Sudan and Uganda.
Amen.

Invitation to Pray from Facebook Group from Beth & Peggy

AN INVITATION TO PRAY FOR THIS TRIP AND eXile's WORK- WHEREVER YOU ARE AND WHENEVER YOU CHOOSE!
______________________________________________

On Thanksgiving Day, Beth has been given the opportunity to return to Africa with a group from Fellowship Bible Church to begin the mission of eXile international.

eXile international was formed from Beth's most recent trip to Congo after realizing that so many of the people there were not only living in true exile, but in emotional exile as well. eXile international exists to instill hope, healing, and love to the child trauma victims of Congo and Eastern Africa by creating a program of art therapy and trauma counseling that teaches peace, reconciliation and conflict-resolution skills. We wish to give them the hope of healing as well as the hope of heaven. This program will eventually be used by the community leaders and teachers in Africa as they work with hurting children........Our hope is healing the soul of Africa one heart at a time.

_____________________________________________

eXile international exists as a result of very very small to somewhat large donations......monthly or one time donations....from those with tiny budgets to big pocketbooks. We would love to invite you to join in the fight for healing the hearts of the children of Congo and Eastern Africa by prayerfully making a contribution to this cause. There remains $600 left to be raised for this trip.

BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY AND ABOVE ALL, WE SIMPLY ASK FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND TO SPREAD THE WORD.
